Copenhagen Fashion Week has released the official schedule for the upcoming AW21 fashion week in February 2021.
Copenhagen Fashion Week is excited to release the official show schedule for the upcoming season, which will present the AW21 collections of 33 leading brands from the Nordic region.
Through the hybrid format that was established in the August 2020 edition, Copenhagen Fashion Week moves forward once more with a collation of digital showcases supported by a selection of physical shows. In light of the new Covid19 restrictions in Denmark, Copenhagen Fashion Week will work hard to ensure the safety of all participating brands and guests as the utmost priority.
“We are happy to present a very strong line up of 33 brands for this season who will be presenting their upcoming AW21 collection in a variety of innovative formats adapted to the times we are in. Like last edition, this fashion week will uphold all regulations to concur a safe experience for our physical guests and an extraordinary connective experience for our digital guests.” – Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO Copenhagen Fashion Week
This season, the acclaimed Swedish menswear brand Schnayderman’s led by Creative Director Hampus Bernhoff will open the official Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule on Tuesday 2 February at 10 am. As their first showcase on the official schedule, their singular vision of menswear and womenswear will be given a focal opportunity to introduce themselves to the Copenhagen Fashion Week global audience.
“We are very excited to be part of the coming edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week. This is the first time that we are showing on an official schedule as we believe Copenhagen Fashion Week is a great platform to reach both a Scandinavian as well as an international audience. We are also very impressed by how Copenhagen Fashion Week has adapted quickly to the current climate, mixing digital and physical formats in a progressive way. During the last two years, Schnayderman’s has grown from being just a shirt brand to full look collections, so it made sense for us to showcase with Copenhagen Fashion Week our coming Autumn/Winter Collection.” – Hampus Bernhoff, Creative Director, Schnayderman’s
The celebrated Danish designer, Henrik Vibskov, will be the official closing show for AW21.
Copenhagen Fashion Week is furthermore delighted to announce a number of recognized brands such as Rotate Birger Christensen, House of Dagmar, Wood Wood and Stand Studio have returned to showcasing at Copenhagen Fashion Week this season, bringing their distinctive aesthetic back to the official schedule.
This season will see not only some of the most feted names in the industry, such as Ganni, Stine Goya, and Holzweiler, but also the introduction of new voices through the first edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s Talent Slot – awarded to Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard this season – dedicated to supporting exceptional talent on the schedule.
Finally, the announcement of the finalists for the Zalando Sustainability Award marks a powerful addition to Copenhagen Fashion Week’s sustainability leadership, with the award spotlighting three brands making exceptional steps in their sustainable efforts. This season, an international jury inclusive of sustainability advocate Arizona Muse and Global Fashion Agenda’s CSO Morten Lehman has selected Finnish fashion house Marimekko, Danish designer Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard and the Swedish brand House of Dagmar as the three finalists who will showcase their AW21 collection, with a winner chosen on the final day of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
